Camp notes

Our unique formula, based on 25 years’ experience of bringing amazing holiday performing arts experiences to children, means that every week is different so children can attend as many as they like.

We start with the name of the theme – that’s all! Over the course of 5 days the students invent the story, devise the scenes and script the play (with us following on behind typing things up) before putting on an amazing show for families and friends.

Our Best Beginners group spend most of the week learning through play, dressing up, crafting, moving and singing and get the chance to join the older students on the big stage with their very own role at the end of the week.

Week 1: '25 Years of Disney'
Mon 24 July - Fri 28 July 2023
Celebrate 25 years of Best Theatre Arts by creating a musical inspired by the last 25 years of Disney films and shows. That includes Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar! There's lots to choose from so come and play your favourite Disney character and sing your favourite Disney tune. A 5 day creative holiday camp with a show at the end for family and friends.

Week 2: '25 Years of Broadway'
Mon 31 July - Fri 4 August 2023
Continuing our 25th Anniversary celebrations our 2nd week of musical theatre and creative fun for early years will be all about Broadway musicals. So many great musicals were launched in the last 25 years, which Broadway numbers will make it into our show? Join us for a week of singing, dancing, drama, games, outdoor fun, craft activities, dressing up, and a show at the end of the week.

Week 3: 'The Best 25 Years'
Tue 8 August - Sat 12 August 2023
Over the last 25 years there have been a lot of fabulous shows and musicals at Best Theatre Arts. During our 5 day interactive musical theatre camp we will bring together the best of the last 25 years. Inspired by movies, musicals and the world of pop! A chance to sing your favourite song (will Rock Song return?) dance your favourite style (street dance, jive, Bollywood or something else), create your best character. We will sing, dance, play, get outside, craft and, at the end of the week, perform in a brand new musical for family and friends at The Sandpit Theatre.

The camp is based in Sandringham School on The Ridgeway, St Albans, with our show on the last day of camp at The Sandpit Theatre.
